nA Brief History

Pete grew up in the midst of the troubled years of Befast N. Ireland. Heritage from both sides of the divide he has grow up with a special understanding of the agonies of conflict and has thus been able to express in his music what is in the hearts of the people of this mordern era.

ong writing for over 20 years,first in the back streets of a working class home and from ther onto the stages of Belfast music scene in the early 90's when the seeds of a new order were being sown.
Throughout his music years he has done
some charity work for Oxfam at end of 90's and Cycled through S.Africa for Chilren in Crossfire in 2007. Song written in memory of sister Angela shot dead in the 70's "Lone Star Baby"
Songwriting begun to really take off in the mid 90s with the release of Permanent Star and an entrance into the World Wide Web with Sounclick as host.
Lonestar Baby reaching No.1 on Soundclick Chart.

Heading into a new millenium
Writing new material while undergoing many personal struggles and changes.
Move to North Coast in 2007 then down to The Grange in the Ballymena region in 2009 where resides at present.

Currently working on 2nd complete Album "Earth"
to include songs from 2008 to present 2010.
Real, Soon, Earth, It's a New Day and Belfast.

Favorites & Influences

Influences: infuences go all around the world and way back in time, too many to mention. Theme is usually Love/human inspiration as I see the meaning of life, freedom to just be yourself which then brings out the best in you. Still trying after all these years, still crying after all these tears.!



Musical Inspiration and Growth

Inspired by Metropolis-lights, life & love.
Took to writing music while living in London.Influenced by the brilliance of good music from Brit pop to Mozart.

Inspired by new computer technologies and the opportunity it gave to city kids to vent the words they held in their hearts onto the world. invested in early computer recording software.
Self studied music composition and counterpoint.
Set up band 1991 did a load of gigs and released a short run promo of songs. Took up guitar a few weeks before major gig in the Limelight belfast and has never looked back.
 Worked with other musicians writing songs played in a few Local indie band’s back in the early 90’s Song’s of this era where released in limited numbers: among them: "Johnny, Sin Lady & Should I" Air play on Downtown and Radio 1 in short flashes.

Gigs played at the Limelight, Front Page, Errigle, Kremlin and Laverys

to name but a few.

Band split 1994 Gigged solo for a couple of years with guitar. Soloed live for a few years finding new freedom and expression

Currently working under Radio Ready Music (own project) gigs on the horizon.
Writing Style
Usually write on acoustic guitar then build music around words. Using knowledge of Musicology aim to create a peice of music to inspire and move the listener to free up the being: heart and mind.
New songs online and updated regularly: Real, Earth and Belfast are among the newer songs. Older songs are Permanent Star and Memories.
